The Beginning
Maria Santos opens Cafe Rio in a cozy corner of Frederick, MD with a simple menu of 12 dishes and a handful of loyal regulars.
2015
Community Recognition
Cafe Rio wins "Best New Restaurant" from the Frederick Community Awards and expands its dining room to accommodate growing demand.
2017
Menu Expansion
We grow our menu to over 80 items, introduce seasonal specials, and begin partnering with local farms for fresh, sustainable sourcing.
2019
Catering Launch
